About MEMN

Inclusive

MEMN is proudly and emphatically an Equal Opportunity Employer. We see diversity as strength and do not discriminate. Our employees and candidates are treated equally regardless of their race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

This is how we've always operated. Not because it's required by law, but because it's the right thing to do.

Quality Focused

Safe physician coverage is our hallmark. Quality care and patient safety are our top priorities!

Supportive

We value community, cohesiveness, and diversity and are dedicated to working to help clinicians achieve their career goals. We offer the support necessary for our employees to thrive!

Non-profit Organization

Our company is a physician-led, fiscally sound nonprofit organization. We do not answer to investors, shareholders, or partners. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, quality and safety for our providers and patients are our focus. In addition, our non-profit status gives our physicians the opportunity to apply for the Public Loan Forgiveness Program.

Education Driven Culture

Rotating University of Maryland Emergency Medicine residents consistently rank the community and rural rotations in our emergency departments among their top rotations. MEMN physicians can participate in ongoing educational activities with the EM residency program at the University of Maryland including cadaver lab, simulation sessions, small group didactic sessions, as well as attend fantastic CME opportunities provided by University of Maryland School of Medicine faculty.

Engaged

MEMN encourages productive participation in hospital committees and culture. Our physicians are actively engaged in health policy, hospital operations, palliative care, risk management, and graduate medical education at the health system level.

Connected

MEMN maintains a longstanding and strong relationship with hospital leaders, the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the University of Maryland Medical System. Although our respective organizations vary in size and scope, we work together to achieve our common goal of providing cutting edge emergency care to the communities we serve.
