We offer 4 employment statuses: Full time (1400 hours/yr); Reduced full time (1000 hours/yr); Part time (500 hours/yr); and PRN.
A full benefits package is offered to all full time and reduced full time employees.
Our staff clinicians are hourly employees. Our rates vary depending on position, level of experience and employment status. RVU bonuses are paid on top of hourly rates (excluding PRN) and we offer premium rates for all hours worked above our FT annual hours requirement (1400).
We have three separate practices and each is comprised of 2-4 hospitals.
• If you work for MEMNP, you will be credentialed to work at three locations in Prince George's County, Maryland.
• If you work for ESEMP, you will be credentialed at four locations on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
• If you work for UCEMP, you will be credentialed to work at two locations in Harford County, Maryland.
The majority of our clinical sites are hospitals, although we do have a few Freestanding Medical Facilities(FMF). Our FMFs are distinguished from urgent care centers by the scope of services that they provide. FMFs have more advanced lifesaving, imaging, and laboratory capabilities, and usually operate seven days a week and 24 hours per day.

Although the Maryland Emergency Medicine Network (MEMN) focuses on community emergency medicine, we have close ties to the University of Maryland and can offer our clinicians access to nationally recognized educational programs, lectures, and teaching opportunities. For example, we have worked with the UMD Emergency Medicine Residency Program to develop several resident rotations within our network.

Yes, MEMN employs a dedicated EMS Director and Ultrasound Director at each of our practices. These specialty directors are responsible for working with the hospitals to develop and enhance clinical pathways, keep our clinicians informed of any protocol or policy changes, and act as an on-site resource in their respective role.
